The Scholarship Fund of Alexandria Held its Marquee Black Tie Gala on April 28. With the largest crowd in the event’s history, it was truly  Alexandria’s Biggest Black Tie Party for a Cause…Supporting College Scholarships for the City’s Neediest Students.  We’d like to offer special thanks to our generous sponsors, our 560 gala attendees, all who donated an item to our auction and those who bid and won items or simply raised their auction paddle to support college scholarships for Alexandria kids in need.

It was a wonderful night honoring the success of our past scholarship recipients from the Class of 1998 and celebrating our 2018 scholarship recipients.  Thank you to incoming ACPS Superintendent and former Scholarship Fund scholarship recipient Dr. Gregory Hutchings who joined us for the event.  Dr. Hutchings told the sold-out crowd, “I am a former scholarship recipient.  That scholarship changed the trajectory of my life.”

Proceeds from the marquee event support college scholarships that help Alexandria students with financial need afford college.

Thank YOU, Alexandria, the scholarships you help support truly change students lives…forever.  Click to View the 2018 Gala Photo Gallery
