Scholarship Fund of Alexandria Telethon, October 28, 2012
Alexandria, VA. Get ready for The Scholarship Fund of Alexandria's 18th Annual Telethon, Sunday, October 28th, 4-9 p.m. at T.C. Williams High School. The event will be broadcast live on Channels 69 and 71 and on the web at www.AlexScholarshipFund.org. The Telethon is the Scholarship Fund's primary Fall fundraising effort, and is critical to helping the Fund provide need-based scholarships for T.C. Williams graduates.
The Telethon features on-air challenges led by Alexandria business and community leaders, alumni and parents - and five hours of live entertainment, including T. C. Williams music performers and professionals who volunteer their time and talent.
The mission of the Scholarship Fund is to ensure that academically qualified T.C. Williams High School Seniors have the resources to complete college, vocational or technical school after they graduate. Over the past 25 years, the Fund has awarded more than $8 million in scholarships and provided financial aid advising to thousands of students and their parents.
Dollars raised through the Fall Telethon and TitanFest! will support the General Fund which awards scholarships for students who demonstrate academic achievement and financial need.
