For those like Suzanna Kang, help from The Scholarship Fund can
mean less worry about debt and more freedom to choose the profession
that lets them do the things that they want to do. Thanks to The Fund's
help, Suzanna was able to go to the University of Virginia and graduate without loans.
"The lack of debt from school loans enabled me to go into public
service - an area that I would normally not have considered had I
significant amounts of loans to repay," according to Suzanna, whose
opportunities have lead her to work for Congressman Jim Moran, for the
Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, and finally as a practicing
attorney at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, LLP.
When it comes to career choices, Suzanna has been able to live
by a tenet that she would advise to others: Choose an area that you
love that enables you to highlight your natural talents. She also holds
dear that contributors to The Fund helped her to have those choices. "I
know that I would not be where I am if I had not had the opportunities
that this city provided me," she says.
