Scholarship Fund's Fall Fund Drive Relies on Community Support!

The Scholarship Fund conducts an Annual Fall Fund Drive to raise money for college scholarships for T. C. Williams High School graduates. The community is asked to participate in our culminating event "Calling for Dollars" on Sunday, October 26 from 4 – 8 pm at T. C. Williams High School, 3330 King St., Alexandria. New Assistant Director Hired!

New Assistant Director Amanda Janice

The Scholarship Fund of Alexandria is very pleased to welcome Amanda Janice as the new Assistant Director.  Amanda holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with minors in Spanish and History from Ohio University and a Master of Public Administration with a focus on Nonprofit Management and Economic Development from Ohio University. Amanda has experience managing a $400,000 scholarship program and loves to work with teens. Her enthusiasm and strong work ethic will be a tremendous asset to the organization.  
 

July 2013 - New Executive Director Beth Lovain Hired

Scholarship Fund of Alexandria Names Beth Lovain as New Executive Director

Alexandria, VA – The Board of Trustees of the Scholarship Fund of Alexandria is pleased to announce that Beth Lovain has been named its new Executive Director. Ms. Lovain will oversee the longstanding nonprofit organization that awards college scholarships to Alexandria graduates. Ms. Lovain is replacing Susan Yowell, who is retiring. "The Scholarship Fund has benefited from many years of great management with Ms. Yowell. We are fortunate to have Ms. Lovain's leadership to guide the Scholarship Fund to the next level of success serving our community's stakeholders. Her local nonprofit experience and educational background are a natural fit for this organization," said Dwight Dunton, Chair of the Board of Trustees. Learn More...
