Portrait of Success
Henry Wong, Class of 2002, knew at a very young age that he wanted to become a physician. Although his parents never attended college, they instilled in Henry a disciplined work ethic and desire to learn. At T.C. Williams, Henry excelled academically, with a GPA over 4.0, and as a member of the French, Math, and National Honor Societies, and the "It’s Academic" team.

The Spring Gala is the annual signature event for The Scholarship Fund of Alexandria. The community celebrates the generosity of Alexandrians, honors the achievements of past scholarship recipients and raises contributions to benefit future graduates of T. C. Williams High School. The gala offers a special program where everyone benefits.
The Purpose
All proceeds of Spring Gala go to the general fund of The Scholarship Fund of Alexandria. All scholarships from the general fund go to ACPS graduates who demonstrate financial need, as well as the ability, commitment and desire to continue their education beyond high school.
Corporate sponsors are recognized for their investment in the future of our community.
Guests have fun while supporting a worthwhile cause.
The Festivities
The 26th Anniversary Spring Gala is a formal fast-paced evening of dancing, dining, and silent and live auction shopping. Everyone is welcome to attend.
The Honorees
The event features Portraits of Success, a tribute to five former scholarship recipients. Each of these honorees has made significant academic, professional and personal contributions to their community and to their profession. They are an inspiration to our present scholarship recipients and a testimony to the value of the support the community sends with our students.
The Guests
More than 600 guests who attend the event are a cross-section of our community business leaders, government and elected officials, the Alexandria City Public Schools, and the community at large. All share a desire to invest in our community by providing our young people the opportunity to pursue a post-secondary education.
