An Evening at Historic Lloyd House

Are you celebrating a special event this year? Enjoy a unique setting at the Lloyd House for a 3-hour cocktail party with hors d’oeuvres for 40 guests, with all of the work done for your birthday, holiday, engagement or other party. The Office of Historic Alexandria has made the fantastic offer of the use of the Lloyd House on North Washington Street. You will have access to the first floor and garden of the home built in 1797 by John Wise, a prominent Old Town entrepreneur. No detail is overlooked. Food Matters Restaurant will custom design a menu of delicious hors d’oeuvres. Two wait staff and two bartenders will take care of everything, allowing you to enjoy your special event. The T.C. Williams music department will provide a string ensemble to entertain your guests. Capture all those memories with photos by two senior T.C. Williams photographers. Martha Blakeslee, owner of Flowers by Martha, will provide gorgeous flower arrangements to complete the décor.

Alcoholic beverages are not included. Winner may upgrade catering at additional expense. Date must be coordinated with The Office of Historic Alexandria and other parties.

A Day On the Bay

Back by popular Demand! Play hooky for a day and travel in comfort with 13 friends on Jack Taylor’s luxury “Rock Star” bus to his gorgeous home on the Severn River in Crownsville, Maryland, near Annapolis. Leave Alexandria at 9 a.m. for the 45-minute trip and relax while you have breakfast on the bus and someone else does the driving. Once you arrive, lounge poolside, swim, play volleyball, practice on the putting green, screen movies or explore the game area which includes Foosball, ping pong, a pool table, and pinball. No trip to Florida is complete without the beach, so head south to Cocoa Beach. Spend two nights at the Royal Mansions Resort in an oceanfront condo and relax. If you are a space enthusiast, schedule your trip around a launch at nearby Cape Canaveral. After your Florida fantasy, head one hour to Orlando to catch the overnight train home.

Craft Beer Tasting Dinner

Allagash Brewing Company of Portland, Maine, arguably the best Belgian-style brewery in the United States, is pairing with Federal City Caterers for a unique dining experience. We invite you and 9 friends to enjoy an evening with Allagash founder and “beer genius” Rob Tod and Federal City for a 6-course journey of elegant food and libation.
